My Students

Do you remember what it is like to learn a completely new language? My eager and fun-loving fifth graders are learning Mandarin in a dual immersion program. They are immersed in Mandarin while learning their Common Core state standards based curriculum. Many come from a low, socioeconomic background, and speak several languages; but their love of learning unifies them as a class family.

Our school is a Title I, Performance Improvement school with ninety-eight percent participating in the free lunch program.

Many parents work two jobs and are struggling to support the family. My students are an eager group of learners who would benefit from the resources you provide.

My Project

My students are eager to engage in new learning opportunities and different ways to represent content. Students learn early STEMS skills while playing and having fun! Botley teaches the student the basics of coding through active play completely screen free promote critical thinking and problem solving skills. The Coding Robots is an engaging, interactive game that teaches the fundamental skills of block coding, all of which are necessary for the future. My students will using Botley Coding Robots to develop problem solving skills through coding. This engaging activity will also help promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, a great skill to carry them through life.

With your donation of Botley, the student will develop the skills of being inquisitive, hands-on learners that love new opportunities for learning and exploring.
