Coding Whiz Kids!

Help me give my students an experience with robots and coding! My young students will be able to grasp the concepts of coding with these Ozobot robots.

My Students

I work with students that are advanced in their thinking and learning. It is exciting and demanding to keep my students challenged in the classroom. Students must qualify for this accelerated program by performing very well on set above grade-level assessments.

I love working on and preparing lessons for these high achieving learners.

They come to school eager to be challenged and are expected to succeed at high levels.

My students are excited to be using STEM and Robots as part of the new Blended Learning curriculum in our class. This method of learning combines online education with classroom education. This project will facilitate progress in both social skills and learning goals.

My Project

Ozobots are a great coding resource for teachers. Young students learn to code using four colored coding markers and drawing their codes on paper. They can also code on the iPad with a program called Blockly.

Ozobots are very appealing and teach beginning to advanced coding skills to kids.

Students will learn critical thinking and problem solving as they collaborate to get the Ozobot to perform the desired task.

I hope to use these little robots as part of my Blended Learning and STEM curriculum. I will be integrating technology into all areas of curriculum, including language arts and STEM.

Please help me support and enhance learning and curiosity in my class. My future lesson plans will involve this unique technology integration. Ozobots are a fun invitation to learn and explore in Second Grade.
