My Students

I have first graders who are excited to soak up everything they can about reading, math, science, and social studies! Our school is in a low-income, high at-risk, rural community.

My students need hands-on ways to further their learning, so they can become contributing members of society.

They love to work in small groups or partners and move often to optimize their learning. They also have different needs for their learning to be successful. Our students work hard each day to conquer their learning goals and have fun doing it!

My Project

I need three more Ozobots to allow my students to work in small groups on coding. I know that coding is a valuable skill for my students to begin exploring at a young age and adding a few more robots to my room will allow me to teach the lessons to the whole class, but then provide students the opportunity to work on the taught skills with a small group.

Ozobots are an exciting and interactive way for first graders to begin to understand coding!

They are user friendly for young students, but allow students to progress to a deeper knowledge of coding!
