Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in one of the poorest neighborhoods within one of the poorest cities in the nation. Nearly all of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch.

My students come to school to find comfort and happiness.

I try to provide them with experiences that will put a smile on their faces and help them realize that they are special.

I see the best in my students and help them see the best in themselves. They are the future.

My Project

My students don't expect school to be ordinary, they expect it to be extraordinary. They don't want to solve problems written down in a book, they want to ask the problems and then find the solutions. Its my job to inspire them to be all that they can be in a world that often tells them they can't. My students don't want to download apps from a marketplace, they want to write their own. They are tomorrow's innovators. I am asking for a Wonder Workshop, because my students have asked for it. They want to write code and see it in action. Thank you for helping my students achieve their goals!
