My students need 2 Cue Robots and the 3Doodler because it will give students from a low economic community an opportunity to be engaged in activities that are more common in today's environment.
Beallsville is a community that has a strong support system within itself. While it may have a strong support system, the community is very impoverished. Even though the students come from a poor neighborhood, they are always making the best of what they are given. This community gives as much as they are able to give. They support each other.
My students are special because they are resilient and motivated.
They are able to make the best out of any situation they are put in. Due to this, my students deserve so much more! I want to hep my students with everything.
My Project
At our school, we recently had an opportunity to use robots. The children loved it. They were excited and engaged and they did not want to leave the room because they were so interested in them. Due to this, I am trying to get two Cue Robots and a 3Doodler.
These materials will help students explore areas that are not readily available to them.
These materials already have a home and a plan to go with them. The 3Doodler allows students to create their own products. It prints on solid surfaces and in the air. This product is something that this school does not have but we want to ensure that the students in our school will be getting the best education possible.
The other resource that we would use are the Cue Robots. When they are using the robots, our students will be working on coding and making the robots move how they want them to move. These resources will allow students to create, explore, direct and design. Many teachers within the school will be using these resources as well.
The addition of this technology to our school will give our students experiences that is not available within the community. This would be a vital missing component to our current education. With that being said, school is the only opportunity for students to have experiences like these due to limited resources outside of the school environment.
