My Students

My students are very enthusiastic, inquisitive and always eager to learn new things about Computers and Coding. Through hands-on projects, they actively engage in learning the essential technical skills that will be useful to them for the rest of their lives. My class activities and assignments are 90% in digital format and many of these students do not have internet access at home or even a computer where they can complete their work. Despite that, they always come to class full of energy and eager to work on the projects. They form great teams and support and challenge each other daily. It is very rewarding to see children from very different backgrounds and upbringings, collaborate to successfully complete the classwork.

My Project

These Raspberry Pi kits for mini-computers will allow my students to practice their previously learned programming skills by assembling and coding our class mini computers. It will provide them with plenty of instructional material and practices including 57 projects where they can learn basic electronics, logical thinking, abstraction and programming, the use of the solderless breadboard, etc. By building and coding their projects, the students can learn the practical applications of their work and how the code interacts with the devices they are working on. These projects will enrich their knowledge of today's technology and expose them to different programming languages.
