My classroom is full of 16 very energetic and creative students. They love to draw and do hands-on activities. Most of my students have lived in the same town all of their lives and have been in a classroom together since preschool. We are from a small school in a small town. Our community is involved with the school and we are very involved with it. We go out and interact with the nursing home in town and we help out at neighborhood businesses.
Since we are in a small town, students don't get to experience as many diverse situations or cultures.
Our school is very good at getting the students out on field trips and letting them try new things. Our high school has great electives and shadowing opportunities. In the elementary school, students only have band, gym, and music. I want to bring diversity to the students.
My Project
These materials will make it easier to do hands-on activities in the classroom. Students will have more material to build with like the Keva Structures and the Straw Constructors. These will be used for science building and creating models of what we are reading!
Coding is a huge part of our future.
The Ozobot will give students a more hands-on approach to coding than just sitting at a computer.
Play-Doh and craft sticks will be great for building and creating the old school way. I always run out of craft sticks, and my Play-Doh gets mixed up or dries out.
