This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our cluster program is excited to announce the Cluster Coffee Shop! To help support the cluster students, students are learning to follow directions and read orders in their Math classes. Students will be learning how to work a Keurig, follow directions for orders, and find classrooms to deliver the coffee. These life skills will help our students succeed in the future.

By donating to our program, you will not only help students follow directions and improve their reading, but you are also helping them build a skill that they can then take and use beyond high school.

Something as simple as making coffee can provide students with severe/profound disabilities an opening to the professional world where they can then work as baristas if they so choose. This project also allows students who are more hands-on an opportunity to engage with math in a different way.
