Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This global pandemic challenges our students in so many ways. Now my students don't only study during the day, but also have to take care of household chores, siblings, and sometimes even their grandparents. Despite the hardships my students are facing with school being closed, they are still trying their best to come to my zoom lessons everyday.

My Project

As an educator, I always try to make my lessons engaging and rigorous for my students. However, teaching on Zoom makes both goals more difficult. With limited options for sharing real-time content with students, it is much harder to hold students' attention and deliver quality lessons. With a projector, a doc camera and a pair of Bluetooth headphones, however, I will be able to project multimedia presentations, books, and math workbook pages on my whiteboard while modeling math strategies or doing guided reading lessons.

It will also be easier for me to record comprehensible lessons for students who can not join us during my Zoom hours, allowing them to watch the videos later and avoid falling behind.
