This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is the second school year for the dance program at my school. During year one, I learned a lot about what our classroom needs to function in a healthy and safe way. One of the findings that has become very apparent is that our studio needs help with airflow and circulation. Let’s face it, twenty eight students moving in one classroom at a time creates for a sweaty and smell environment.

I am requesting fans, air purified, and odor elminators to kickstart a cleaner environment for my students.

With the physical nature of dance, our pre-adolescent students proud a lot of sweat and most commonly, odors. Proper air circulation is critical in a dance studio to maintain a safe, comfortable environment. It expels stale air and airborne pathogens, controls humidity, and keeps the space odor-free. Most importantly, it stabilizes room temperature, preventing dangerous physical conditions like heat exhaustion and dehydration during strenuous activity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
