Help me give my students classroom supplies that create and foster a clean, safe, and enjoyable learning environment.

In a world that is changing every moment, how can we as educators close the gap to being the teacher that we needed when we were younger, to our students? In my school every student is a unique individual, supported by an adult, and is exposed to a differentiated instructional approach, according to his or her intellectual, social, physical, and emotional requirements. Unfortunately, due to the harsh realities that the students in my school face, that goal is often times missed. My school lacks the additional funding for us to provide additional resources, materials, and equipment to our students who may be at risk of failing or who are struggling to keep up with their peers.
It is a belief, that having the proper supplies are essential to ensure meaningful and authentic exhibits of outcomes for student achievements, across disciplines and subject areas.
With rising issues in my school’s community, my students face adversities with gaining and maintaining the basic needs that other well equipped communities and schools do not. The students I teach struggle with transportation to and from school, issues with school equipment being sufficient, purchasing garments for school, and even basic school supplies.
In recognizing that instruction does not come as a one-size-fits-all design, through these supplies students will have many options to enhance their unique learning styles and diverse needs.
Providing a unique designed work space, that includes headphones, cleaning supplies, markers, and writing utensils, I aim to help students with closing the achievement and learning gap due to economical challenges.
The brain learns best and retains most when the organism is actively involved in a "home away from home" environment. These materials will be used solely for that purpose. To help, students not only learn, but retain what they learn as well. Clorox wipes, Kleenex, and Elmer's glue all may seem simple, but to students who struggle with basic means, it means the world. By providing these, I want my students to know and feel that if they're lacking, I am able to provide.
For auditory learners, headphones provide students an opportunity to access materials and lessons in a way, otherwise not afforded to them. In addition, students will be able to listen to books at their individual level with greater independence. It will allow them to block out distracting noises so they are better able to focus. These materials will be used to give students multiple means of representation of concepts, multiple means of engaging in learning the concepts, and multiple means of expression for students to demonstrate what they have learned. These materials allow for instruction to become accessible to all students and eliminate the gap in their education.
