These materials will be used to give students multiple means of representation of concepts, multiple means of engaging in learning the concepts, and multiple means of expression for students to demonstrate what they have learned. These materials allow for instruction to become flexible and accessible for students. Heavily relying on technology and sound, these supplies help students who can’t purchase headphones have accessibility in class on a daily basis. By having these headphones, audio and digital content can be presented in different ways to meet the learning needs of each student. Learning might also include graphs, animation, and videos linked within the body of materials to aid understanding and expand content experience to demonstrate a concept. Creating a classroom where students can use technologies to move beyond being academic observers is the main goal of this project. Recognizing that instruction does not come as a one-size-fits-all design, students have options that can be matched to their learning styles or diverse needs. Flexible seating pieces help students with personalized learning, students take ownership of how they learn by finding what works best for them. Moving, stretching, and walking can actually enhance the learning process. The brain learns best and retains most when the organism is actively involved in physical activity. These materials will be used solely for that purpose. To help, students not only learn, but retain what they learn as well. Regardless of students’ economical status or differentiated learning styles, every student needs and has the right to access the curriculum. I strongly feel that it is of equal importance to select materials that help students retain the information. By providing students with these multiple means of representation, engagement, and expression, these classroom materials are designed to follow the desire that every child succeeds everyday.
