Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students here are extremely multicultural and diverse. This is a k-8 school that over 1,200 students attend. Our school is full of amazing individuals learning how to express themselves in a new language for the first time. Many of our students are ESL, speaking Spanish or Portuguese as their first language.

Our school receives free breakfast and lunch from feeding America that any student can eat if they need it.

Despite the hardships our students encounter outside of school they are eager to learn and excited to come into class and express themselves.

My Project

My classroom does not have a sink and it makes it hard to clean up after messy projects. The Dojo wipes will help with the cost of cleaning supplies I use to keep my room clean at the end of the day.

Since we have no sink we are limited to dry media like drawing, and crafts such as weaving, therefore we go through more of those supplies throughout the year.

Supplementing our supply of yarn and paper will greatly impact my students ability to keep creating in the art room all year and keep it clean as they go.
