My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Each day, they come to school ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow both personally and academically.
Our school is nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, East New York.
Each child in my classroom loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate various learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met right where they are! They are indeed an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
Since COVID began in the city and my students are wearing masks all day long. They are constantly thirsty. Since they are in the Prek classroom they are unable to walk to the water fountain independently. The water fountain is also to high for them to use.
It would be wonderful to have cold water in the classroom that is easy for the students to use independently.
Having a water dispenser in my classroom would be so very beneficial to my students. They need to stay hydrated throughout the day.
