Students gather in small groups for book discussions, and pair up for buddy reads. There's a buzz during reading time that's exciting to witness! Several students who were once reluctant readers are now among the most enthusiastic. One student, who previously struggled to finish a chapter, now races to class asking if we'll have time to read.
