Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school, and I love being part of this community because I have the privilege of watching students who may not have access to many resources grow, learn, and prosper. My kindergarten students are curious, energetic, and full of potential. Throughout the school year, they grow in various ways—academically, socially, emotionally, and in their independence. This growth also includes learning to respect their classroom space, keep it clean, and take responsibility for their shared environment.

A clean, safe, welcoming, and organized classroom helps my students feel comfortable and ready to learn.

The broom and hand brooms will allow students to help clean up after hands-on lessons, art projects, and everyday spills. The disinfectant spray and other cleaning supplies will help keep shared surfaces clean and ready for learning. The magnets will allow me to display student work, visual supports, and important learning materials where every student can easily see them.

These resources will help me create a classroom where my students can stay focused, take pride in their environment, develop responsibility, and have every opportunity to thrive.
