Help me give my students hygiene items to make school easier. Items include deodorant, toothpicks, body wipes, hair ties, dry shampoo, and clothes deodorizing spray.
My classroom has a closet for personal care items for students to use. Many of our items are due for a refresh. I am requesting hair ties and dry shampoo for students' hair care needs. The body wipes and deodorant are for students who may have skipped a shower for the day or have just come from gym class. The clothes spray and lint rollers are for students that need a refresh. Often, our students have pets at home and, while well-loved, their pets often make students sensitive to the smells they carry. The toothpicks and mints are to help students manage their breath. Safety pins are used by my students who wear head coverings to keep everything in place. Finally, the storage boxes help to keep our space organized.
Middle school can be a tough time for students, especially with the new changes in their body chemistry.
These items help students to feel more confident and allow them to focus on learning.
