I currently work with about 500 students, grades k-4. As a Content Literacy teacher, students explore topics in science. They are diligent and strive to build their academics. In my classroom we work on academic topics, character education, 21st century skills, and being a community of learners. Our classroom is like our second home.
I work with students who come from low-income neighborhoods.
They all come with diverse prior and background knowledge. Not all students come with the same experiences into the classroom. Our school has many students who are English Language Learners. They are working on the necessary skills to be successful. I am currently working on expanding their science and social studies knowledge.
Students love to explore, have opportunities to be curious, and use manipulatives. My goal is for them to push their boundaries of academia by learning new science content. We do a lot of small-group work which allows them to build character education and learn to work with others.

My Project
The materials in this project will keep my classroom well-equipped to prevent germs from spreading. Lysol wipes and spray are used to keep the chairs and tables cleaned throughout the day. I have fourth grade students who spend some time towards the end of their day to clean my classroom with me. I also need to restock on sanitizer, tissues, and paper towels. My classroom sees 500 students a week. These cleaning supplies will aid in clean hygiene practices. My tables are cleaned every day and the magic erasers help remove glue, pencil, pen, and other marks that have been left on them. Please help restock the necessary materials to clean our classroom space.
