This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I see several students in the art room. They love using crayons, watercolors, pastels, pencils, glue, and so many other messy materials. By the end of the class period hands and covered in ink, tables are saturated with tinted water, and surfaces are covered in sticky white glue. I have all of these little bodies waiting for their turn at the sink. Sometimes I run out of soap because I use soapy water to clean tables and chairs. I know that this soapy water is classroom safe. I also teach students that it is important to keep their bristles clean and work spaces spotless. It's so important to teach students these life lessons.
