I am a teacher of students in grades 6 to 8. All of my students are diverse learners. They have special needs ranging from mild learning disabilities to social/emotional difficulties. I teach math and science. My kids are from a working class, low-income area. We are a very family-oriented school and have great family involvement.
We can grow in our learning if we just have our needs met.
An items such as a washing/dryer machine will help keep my students in clean clothes while at school.
My Project
For this project, I am asking for washer/dryer machine combo. Many students may not have access to a washing machine in their apartment or house. This is the same reason they often come to school in dirty uniforms.
Learning while wearing dirty clothes can be a difficult task.
However, they lack a washing machine to wash their uniforms daily. This means sweatshirts and jackets worn continuously all day long at school are full of sweat and stink by the end of the school week. This can be a distracting situation in the classroom not only for the student wearing the sweatshirt but others trying to work in the classroom around him or her. Please consider helping my students.
