Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we are committed to helping every student succeed, but many of our families face financial challenges that impact their ability to provide the basic necessities for their children. One of the most significant barriers to consistent school attendance is the lack of clean clothes. Students who don’t feel comfortable in their clothes are less likely to attend school regularly, and this can hinder their academic growth and success.
We are asking for donations of laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets to help support our students.
Many of our families do not have access to a washer and dryer at home, so we have set up laundry facilities within our building to ensure that every child can have clean, fresh clothes. These basic supplies make a world of difference to a child who wants to come to school, feel confident, and focus on learning.
Your donation will go directly toward making sure that our students have access to the resources they need to stay clean, comfortable, and ready to learn. A little soap goes a long way in brightening a child's day and improving their attendance. Your support helps break down the barriers of poverty, allowing our students to show up to school, ready to grow academically and thrive in the classroom.
