This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the School Nurse at an inner city elementary school. My students are very caring and enthusiastic learners. I work with 40 plus adults in an elementary school educating about 600 students. We work hard to follow our school motto "Better Today than Yesterday, Better Tomorrow! I have a large Pre K population of 3 and 4 year olds with and without special needs. Many of them have needs that I address daily with their CNA and TA and Preschool Teachers. I also work with K - 4 students and Teachers to help educate students about healthy living.

My Project

My students range in age from 3 - 10 at our Elementary School. I work with a large Pre School population in our inner city district. Our school is comprised of families with 97 % free and reduced lunch status. The need is very high at our elementary school. We have hard working loving families who try to provide the best for their children. I work with over 40 loving adults who try to make our students' days great ones. We have a need for a washer and dryer in our school. Daily we have students in our school who need to have their clothes laundered from accidents and or medical needs. Having a Samsung Washer and Maytag Dryer to help these students have clean, laundered clothes would make a world of difference! Also having All Sensitive Detergent and dryer sheets to launder the clothes would be wonderful. We would be grateful for any help with our Clean Clothes Everyday Keeps the Doctor Away project!
