My Students

I teach Pre-K in a tiny 2A Title I elementary school in northeastern Oklahoma. 85% of our student population receives free or reduced price lunches. Many of my students live in single-parent homes or are being raised by other family members.

My Project

Clean breathing is so important, especially now. My students will benefit from this air purifier by staying healthy and practicing good hygiene. We will discuss the benefits of clean air in regards to the atmosphere and our bodies. We will focus on healthy habits: proper handwashing, covering sneezes and coughs and eating healthy foods.

This air purifier will help students to visually see how the purifier collects particles from the air.

Students will learn that healthy air produces healthy bodies. They will help check filters to see when they need to be changed.
