This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I teach students in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. The chairs and seating options that are best for the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students are not the best choice or appropriate for the kindergarten, first and second grade students. Furthermore, the students in the lower grades are up and down often dancing and moving around, so chairs are in the way and also present a safety risk. Therefore, my younger students sit on the floor. I want my students to have clean floors to sit on so their clothes do not get dirty, but also for hygiene reasons.
Please help me maintain a safe and healthy environment for my students.
I plan to use a vacuum to clean up floors regularly. A stick vacuum can be used to quick touchup throughout the day. The baggies will be used to keep recorders separate and not share germs when the plastic cases they come with fall apart. I will use baggies to keep recorders safe from spreading germs. The plastic cases they come with tend to fall apart quickly.
