My students are amazing 4th-7th graders in an inclusion setting. They try so hard and want to do well. Since Covid, we have learned how important it is to stay healthy and clean while learning. As the year comes to an end, I want to prepare for next year so my students have the supplies we need as soon as we come back to school in September. Tissues are needed for all the runny noses that we have as the weather changes and the students get constant colds. As covid, the flu, and rsv are still all among us, we had a very bad year this year with students constantly getting sick. Some of my students bring tissues to school in September with their supplies, but not all and they get used up quickly. Lysol wipes are needed to clean down surfaces that are communal so we don't spread germs like headphones, chromebooks, whiteboards, dry erase markers, etc. Paper towels are needed to clean up messes, and hand sanitizer is needed to sanitize our hands so we don't spread germs.
Covid has taught us that cleanliness and healthy living is an essential part of our lives, especially for students with learning disabilities where they need to be taught clean living as it does not always come naturally to them.
I want my students to have an amazing year. My students have made great progress this year, but with covid and the flu on the rise, they are in and out of school. By giving my students tissues, lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, and paper towels, you are helping us stay in school next year and have a successful learning environment.
