This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am the school counselor for students in grades Pre K-8th. Our students attend school in a rural area located in one of the poorest parts of the county. We are a Title I-funded school, where 100% of our students receive free lunch. Our students have limited resources.
As a school counselor, I am very passionate about meeting the needs of all students!
My Project
Many students come to school and try to stay focused despite how their clothes may look or smell. I can only imagine how their self-esteem could be boosted if they could be clean while they focused on learning. Each child deserves to come to school clean and not have to worry about being teased because of circumstances beyond their control.
I would love to provide students with laundry detergent so that I could help keep their clothes clean and fresh each day at school!
Providing students with clean clothes could make all the difference in a child's daily learning. Please consider donating to a great and worthy cause!
