My Students
My scholars from Philadelphia are talented, courageous, and intellectual learners. Philadelphia is a beautiful place to live with colorful opportunities to learn, and our school offers many of those opportunities. No matter what the scholars face outside of the school doors, we allow all bright-eyed scholars to walk through the door everyday, expecting them to soar as high as possible.
My scholars are true born eagles that love to soar when faced with difficulty.
Like true eagles they are resilient and fight hard for what they believe. From simply answering questions in class to learning about their culture in specialty classes, the scholars in my class are symbols of greatness.
My Project
For the past two years, my scholars have used the classroom carpet to enjoy read-aloud, complete assignments, and engage in activities with their peers. A classroom carpet is a place where ideas are shared and created together as a class community. Due to new regulations, many scholars no longer get the opportunity to share many materials and socially interact as they were before.
Giving them this opportunity for a large classroom carpet will allow all of them to learn and engage in the process of creating together.
My scholars mean the world to me and it would mean the world for them to have comfortable spots in their place of learning.
