My Project

Our students come from mostly, very low income backgrounds. As teachers, we see a lot of children with disabilities, trauma, emotional damage, etc. Most of our students don't have school supplies to call their own. This project would provide our students with their own materials such as pencils, erasers, markers, and headphones.

For these students, having their own supplies will increase their confidence as many of them have never had anything to call their own.

The students will feel good not having to constantly ask to borrow things from a friend. Responsibility is a skill they will learn when they have to keep up with their own belongings and I am excited to see the students grow and mature in this area.
