Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Despite living in a low income/high poverty neighborhood, where drugs and violence are common, I teach 25 of the most wonderful third-grade students!

They are hard-working and outstanding. They deserve nothing but the best from our public school education system. My students are highly motivated and I inspire them to reach their goals and learn every single day. They come from diverse backgrounds. Eighty percent of my students eat a free healthy breakfast every morning, with the same amount of students receiving free lunch. Most of my students have learned English as their second language. Despite their many social and economic hardships, my students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.

My Project

During this pandemic, keeping my students safe, clean and healthy has been very hard. Please help me get these supplies to keep my students clean, safe and healthy.

I am asking for health, safety and cleaning products!

We need individual hand sanitizers and masks for all of my students!

I will be making individual care packets for each one of my students that will include snacks, hand sanitizer, masks and activities to do during quarantine and/or virtual learning.

As you are aware, my students come from a low income household. Therefore, they do not have the necessary health and safety products available to them.
