Help me give my students air purifying plants to brighten up the area, provide clean air, and make it more inviting and tranquil.

My Students

This is my first year as a middle school English teacher. I get to spend my day with energetic, enthusiastic sixth, seventh, and eighth-graders. They love hands on-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box to find solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances in order to grow personally and academically. We are a small, rural district in the heart of Illinois.

My Project

The plants for our classroom are the most efficient plants to filter indoor pollutants, allowing us to breathe clean air in the classroom according to NASA studies. The real plants requested will brighten up the classroom and make it more inviting and tranquil.

Caring for plants by watering and transplanting them is also a way for students to bond with classmates over the successes and challenges of cultivating plants.

The students will learn about how various plants may be used for purifying the air. I am hoping to make it a fun thing and get students involved along with helping to keep our class healthy.

With these plants I am requesting, we will be able to plant more plants we hope to watch grow while improving the classroom air.
