Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting for clay supplies for our art classroom. We do not have a kiln, but I would love to give my students the experience of 3-D art! There is a local place to get their pieces fired for a low price, so I will take their pottery there and get it fired. We are in need of clay and glaze. For younger students, we will use model magic and air dry clay. My goal for this is so every student will have a clay piece to take home next year. My students are special because most of them are not originally from our country. They are newcomers or from another culture. I think art as a freedom of expression is so cool when we are involving 20 plus countries because students learn from each other about different cultures and countries. Thanks so much!
