Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and eager to express themselves in meaningful ways. Many of them learn best through hands-on experiences where they can explore, experiment, and create. Art provides a powerful outlet for self-expression and helps build confidence, especially for students who may struggle in traditional academic settings.

The materials in this project will allow students to work with a variety of mediums, including clay, tempera paint, paint markers, and mixed-media paper.

Clay will help strengthen fine motor skills while encouraging creativity and problem-solving through sculpting. Paints and markers will give students opportunities to explore color, layering, and different techniques across surfaces like paper, tagboard, and textured plates.

These resources will also ensure all students have access to high-quality materials, reducing the need to share limited supplies and increasing engagement. With these tools, students will develop creativity, persistence, and pride in their work while building important artistic and academic skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
