Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth graders are naturally curious explorers who celebrate each other's successes. They ask "what if" questions that lead to amazing discoveries, and they light up when they can build, create, and move while learning. I love how my fourth graders light up during hands-on activities and being able to express their endless amount of creativity.

Having these manipulatives and building materials (markers, crayons,erasers, play doh, tiles, blocks, Legos, checkers, stickers, dice, books, foam ball) turn abstract math and engineering into something they can touch and see.

This will further deepen their conceptual understanding of topics. Stickers & Squishies → When my students reach reading goals or master tricky math concepts, these small celebrations build confidence and motivation to tackle the next challenge.

The headphones will support students during independent work time, my students can focus deeply on personalized learning apps and audiobooks without distracting their neighbors.

The STEM toys will help students with abstract geometry concepts become concrete when my hands-on learners can actually build 3D shapes and explore symmetry, area, and volume. As well as provide engineering challenges that will help my creative problem-solvers apply math skills while building critical thinking and collaboration abilities.

Art supplies across subjects let them show understanding in their own unique ways! In having these supplies such as markers and crayons, students will be able to express themselves in numerous ways.
