My class loves to tell jokes so they told me this one the other day. "Did you hear the joke about the pencil?" "It didn't have any point!" All jokes aside though, our classroom works extremely hard each and every day. This means we also go through pencils and supplies very quickly.
Each student receives folders, notebooks, whiteboards, erasers, and headphones to start their year.
I think it is super important to stay organized so we can always find our work quickly and waste no learning time. For this reason, each child needs three different colored folders for each subject. Additionally, we do daily math practice to learn our multiplication and division facts so we need spiral notebooks. The pencil boxes are so that we can keep our crayons, pencils, erasers, and highlighters all together in one space that can be easily accessed.
Lastly, my students have Chromebooks, which we use daily to help our learning. We do many reading, writing, and math activities through various programs on the computer. Throughout the day, students need their headphones to help them quietly complete their lessons. Since we use them daily, our class needs a new set of headphones.
My students work so hard but are not able to come each year to school with new supplies. These supplies would help our classroom tremendously and make the students feel so special. When we have the needed supplies, we can be prepared to learn and have a great year.
