Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are in need of some classroom supplies. The school I teach at is a Title One funded school, and the majority of our families are considered low income. These supplies will take the burden of purchasing supplies off of the families and make it so all students have the supplies they need. These materials will help my students be successful at completing tasks and learning at school.

I work with a diverse population of students who have varying needs and benefit from interactive lessons.

The supplies that are being requested include Kleenex and hand sanitizer to help keep us healthy and pencils, highlighters, lined paper, and dry erase markers All of these items will be used during interactive lessons. Using different colors helps students break up problems or readings, so they can focus on specific questions. I want to make sure they have everything they need to be successful at school and not have to worry about how they will get it.
