My Students
The school I am assigned to is located in the heart of the Bronx. It has a very diverse group of students and teachers. Even though, all the students are from separate backgrounds, there is unity, they learn as a group, eat lunch together as a family and play together as a team.
My students' passion for learning is priceless.
Despite the struggles they face in their daily lives, when they come to school and walk through my classroom door, they're ready! They are eager to learn something and take on a new challenge each and everyday.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students fired up about a new topic.
My Project
To make the second half of the school year a success, my students need some basic supplies to use in the classroom.
There is a shortage of paper in my classroom.
Now that the state exams are fast approaching, I am making copies of review sheets for homework on a daily basis. With 24 students, one pack of copy paper gets used up so fast. Also, my students need loose leaf paper, construction paper, scotch tape, laminating punches and markers to help bring out their creativity during group work.
Having these classroom supplies would definitely make a big difference.
