This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our classroom transformation begins with the installation of tree light covers, which not only add a touch of tranquility but also serve to mitigate the adverse health effects associated with fluorescent lighting. Studies have shown that fluorescent lights can disrupt students' natural circadian rhythms, affecting their focus and well-being. By creating a Zen-like atmosphere, we can foster a conducive learning environment where students can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Expo markers: These versatile tools will be used during interactive activities and games on whiteboards.
Through these activities, I can assess students' understanding of content in real-time, allowing me to provide targeted support to those who need it.
Laminator and Ziploc baggies: With the laminator, I will create educational games tailored to our curriculum. These games will be stored and organized in Ziploc baggies, ensuring easy access for students and longevity of the materials.
Batteries: Educational games are a cornerstone of our classroom activities. By ensuring we have an adequate supply of batteries, we can keep these games running smoothly, providing students with valuable opportunities for cooperative learning and skill development.
Colored tape: Organization is key to a well-functioning classroom. Colored tape will be used to delineate sections of the whiteboard, making it easier for students to navigate and understand the objectives of the day.
