This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 2nd-grade bilingual students in the south side area of Chicago, where 94% of them come from low-income families. Some of my students also come from single-parent homes. Covid-19 has not made learning easy in the last two+ school years.

Both my students and I couldn't be more excited and happy to be back in the classroom.

There is no doubt that learning is more achievable when we are in an environment designed for that purpose.

My Project

With these materials, my students will be able to continue to work productively in the classroom. Sadly, this pandemic has hit many of their homes.

Help me provide them with the supplies they need to work comfortably in the classroom.

Having these supplies at hand will allow us to have smooth transitions throughout all our educational activities. Providing them with these simple but essential tools will help them prepare to move on to their next grade level. We will be very grateful for any donation that you can make towards this project. Thank you so much!
