This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every year I try and provide all of the general supplies for my classroom, including pencils, erasers, notebooks, and more.
Unfortunately, this can get quite expensive.
To try and conserve paper, we use dry erase boards and markers daily! At this time, we are in need of new dry erase markers.
I'm also requesting cardstock paper, pencils, and book buddy bags for students to carry their books. Every Monday students are given new books to take home and read for extra homework. These bags keep their books in great condition.
Finally, I'm requesting a phonics learning game and a Polaroid camera. I plan on taking pictures of students and displaying them around the room. I will also have a chart that shows students that have learned all of their sight words and have passed a certain number of iready lessons.
By helping to fund this project, you will be putting important supplies into the hands of children. These materials will allow my students to master skills they need to be successful lifelong learners.
