Classroom Set of Basic Headphones

My students need some basic headphones for in-class learning via computers.

My Students

My district is asking teachers to develop more tech-driven instructional techniques. We have access to computers and chrome-books, laptops, and computers; but, recently I've had a need of headphones in order for students to view different content-driven video clips.

Many students in my district come from low-income and are behind grade-level in many areas.

They really enjoy learning with technology. While many of my students bring in their own headphones, I would really like to have my own class-set of headphones for my low-income students.

My Project

My district has asked teaching staff to incorporate more technology into our classrooms. With this, I have learned that a classroom set of headphones would definitely help me do more with audio/visual elements of technology-led learning. This has helped with engagement of students in my classroom.

In social studies, there are many student-led learning opportunities that include videos.

It would help my classroom be less distracting if students were able to view and listen to these videos at their own pace using headphones. In my language arts classes, I believe headphones would impact our classroom in the same way as stated with social studies.
