This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher, I am committed to providing the best learning environment for my students, I am working to fund a new classroom rug. I teach at a wonderful institution that serves a diverse community of students, many of whom come from low-income backgrounds. Despite the challenges they face, these young minds are eager to learn and grow every day.

One essential element that contributes to a conducive learning environment is a comfortable and inviting classroom space.

Unfortunately, our current classroom rug has seen better days. Its worn-out condition not only affects the aesthetics of our room but also impacts the comfort and safety of my students.

That's why I'm reaching out. I am seeking support to acquire a new classroom rug that will not only provide a cozy gathering space for reading sessions and group activities but also create a sense of warmth and belonging for my students. Your generous contribution will directly benefit the students in my classroom, helping to create an environment where they feel valued and motivated to excel academically. Additionally, it will demonstrate to them that their learning environment is a priority, fostering a sense of pride and ownership in their education.
