My Students

This is a grade-level project for Kindergarten. We are collectively making this project to request items that will be split between our four Kindergarten classes.

They are so eager to learn!

Most of our students have had to overcome many obstacles this year. Our students strive for teamwork and sharing and discussing with other students in the classroom!

Our kiddos have done so well with this new transition to Kindergarten from most of them not being in a school or school-like setting, especially since Covid hit the world.

My Project

The most important item on this project is the whisper phones. This is something that is going to be so great for students to learn how to use! It will help students practice quieter voices during independent work as well as when reading. Students will be able to hear themselves reading a book while whispering in the whisper phone without being too disruptive to those around them.

This one is a (new) group favorite, Cuisenaire rods!

Cuisenaire rods will be used in the classroom during math time. These rods will allow for a lot of exploration and discussion for students. We briefly talked with a Math Specialist at our school and seeing how these rods can be used brought great ideas of how to get students talking to each other more, as well as exploring and identifying math around them and the connections found all in math.
