This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classroom resources play a vital role in helping students actively engage in learning economics by making abstract concepts more relatable and interactive. Supplies such as paper, pens, pencils, and visual learning materials allow students to participate in discussions, analyze real-world economic situations, and collaborate with their peers. When students have access to organized and engaging classroom tools, they are better able to explore topics like supply and demand, budgeting, trade, and financial decision-making in meaningful ways that connect to everyday life.

Providing students with high-quality classroom resources also creates opportunities for hands-on learning experiences that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Economics lessons involve group projects, simulations, data analysis, and classroom activities that require materials to keep students engaged and motivated. With the right resources, students can develop a deeper understanding of economic principles while gaining confidence in their ability to think analytically, communicate ideas, and apply what they learn to future academic and real-world situations. For example, in one unit, we focus on real-world applications of green energy and the economics of transitioning to renewable energy.
