As a teacher in a low-income high poverty school district, my students are faced with several obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Many of my students have parents that work 2 or more jobs. I taught these same students in kindergarten and then I moved up to first grade with them. I have a positive relationship with each family. I love to see my students smile when they have successes, nothing else compares to that feeling. My students will change the world!
My Project
My classroom was very fortunate that the school was able to provide us with Chromebooks My students will use their Chromebooks to further their reading and math skills. I would like a classroom printer In order for my students to print out their assignments, and to be able to publish their writing. This printer will be used for the students to print their assignments and work. I find it challenging going to the office to print resources and student’s work during my recess, lunch, and after school for resources that students needs. This printer will be ready to print and available for all of my students.
