My Students

This year, I am teaching sixth grade language arts and science. Our school is an intermediate school so I have 62 kiddos that come into my classroom throughout the day. Every one of the 62 have a very special place in my heart.

To describe my students as a whole, I would have to say that my students are EXPLORERS.

Whether exploring a good book or a new science phenomena my students love learning new things and developing their own questions and ideas about the world.

My Project

I am a second year teacher and am still figuring out what fits me and my classroom the best. I have used tricks of the trade offered by other teachers when it comes to classroom organization, and it hasn't worked for me and my class. Students have lost materials that are supposed to stay in class and I want to help alleviate the stress this causes myself and my students when materials we need can't be found.

I really hope to be able to teach students the benefits of staying organized.

I have used cubbies in the past, but when I moved schools, my new classroom did have them. I would LOVE to have a place for each student to put his or her materials and for them to have a folder for each class to keep notes, hand outs, and assignments they will need in the future.
