Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In Spanish language education, students are encouraged to engage in hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences, where posters require the use of tape. Students are given parts of an anchor chart where they are to tape the correct word or picture to the anchor chart making these learning activities interactive for our classroom. Additionally, students actively participate in learning centers where the use of dry erase markers is integral to their learning process. Our classroom is equipped with three whiteboards, where magnets play a crucial role in various educational activities. Unfortunately, due to frequent handling by students, our stock of magnets has significantly decreased. With a student body of over 300 individuals, our supply of Kleenex is also running low, underscoring the importance of replenishing this essential resource.
However, as the school year progresses, our supplies of these essential items gradually diminish, increasing the need for additional sets.
Acquiring magnetic bookshelves would provide students with a dedicated space to access recently read books, enhancing their learning experience. The last item on our classroom list would be the attribute blocks which would also enhance hands-on learning and interactive learning experiences for our classroom.
By securing additional tape, dry erase markers, magnets, Kleenex, magnetic bookshelves and attribute blocks, we can ensure that our students have the necessary tools and resources to thrive in their Spanish language education.
