Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my second year teaching. As I go into my second year, I need to refill some of my supplies, such as crayons and pencils. I have also learned new things I want to use in my classroom to help the management and structure. As we start the new school year and I am teaching kindergarten, I want to teach them about structure, routine, and responsibility, as well as teach them how to maintain their spaces with organization and structure. I also want to be able to give my students a chance to be more hands-on and more independent this year by using this like the KleenSlate when in whole group, small group, and they can use their journals to refer back to when they need to. In my classroom, we use sticky notes for stop and jot, noting the page we are on in our workbooks, gallery walks, and a lot more.
