Help me give my students a Google Home mini speaker, microphone, wireless doorbell, and light-up countdown timer.
This project expired on January 27, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school is an ethnically diverse elementary school in the Central Valley of California. One hundred percent of our 850 students enrolled in the school receive free breakfast and lunches. Over 80% of our students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged families.
My students are eager to learn; however, they lack resources and support from home to help them memorize math facts and concepts.
Our students need guidance and support to thrive in their educational journey as well as fun and exciting ways to learn. I’m making learning fun by using various teaching techniques as well as the games and resources listed in my project.
Students in my math rotations are working hard and learning new concepts daily. The classrooms get very noisy and managing them becomes difficult at times. The Sado Tech doorbell, microphone and light up countdown timer will be used for classroom management purposes. When students transition from one activity to the next, the doorbell will assist in that. It has been a struggle thus far with the transitions. My hopes are that the doorbell will get their attention and the microphone will preserve my voice throughout the entire day. The mini google speaker will also be used for the same purpose. I am looking forward to receiving these items.
