it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are self-proclaimed non-readers! Most have struggled through school as English Language Learners and now have a bad taste in their mouths for reading.
I am on a mission to change their minds and send them off to high school with improved reading skills and a lot more confidence.
To achieve my goal, I need books that are on low reading levels so they can access the text. But they can't be too kiddie or the students will reject them for sure. So I'm asking for several new titles that fit the mold.
