My Project

I work at a small charter school and we don't have a school library. I have been gradually adding titles to my classroom library in hopes that my students would become interested. I find a lot of these at resale stores and garage sales, and from the help of some great friends, we have been adding as we can. I have received many books through DonorsChoose and love the diversity in the choices.

I am excited to get these titles to add to my classroom library as they seem very fitting for my students.

I have found that some titles are more popular than others so I am trying to add more of what they gravitate towards so more students have access to what they are looking to read. I have had students from multiple classrooms coming to me to check out books. It has been amazing to watch them grow as readers. I have even had some come to me looking for specific titles.

I want to thank everyone who donates; it means so much to me, my students, and even the staff at my school, that these students be exposed to as much reading as possible.
